The Journal

The Madison Chapter puts together an annual journal of student essays outlining current problems and the ways to reach a solution. The journal is then sent to all members of Congress.

We are currently accepting submissions for the journal! Submissions should be between 5 and 25 pages on a topic of relevance to contemporary issues. Authors may adapt papers from coursework, but the pieces should not have been published previously. The article should emphasize the reasons for the problem’s salience and propose a solution in a bipartisan fashion. The Journal hopes to be an exercise in finding practical solutions beyond the confines of party politics. Solutions to our gravest and most serious problems do indeed exist; think BIG.

Pieces by authors from all undergraduate institutions are admissible.
